I believe the redesign is necessary, regardless of the barbie doll and breast augmentation the old &#39;sun-maid girl&#39; was very outdated. If you take a look at their respective target markets, I believe one of the largest is children who are given the small boxes of raisins in their lunch boxes. <br /><br />Despite traditionalists arguments for the conservation of a legacy, the &#39;sun-maid girl&#39; competes with mascots of other trendier brands and to put it bluntly.. the old design is pretty boring in comparison.
