Eeny, meeny, miny, moe

Good morning! So today's post is going to be short and sweet, frankly I want to get the weekend started as early as possible AND I had kickball last night and my ability to type is somewhat delayed this morning.  With that said, here is a spot for Stella Artois called "Claude vs. Pierre".  Stella, a personal favorite of mine, I actually named my pet turtle Stella after the beer. (Yes, I have a turtle...don't believe me? See a video of her below).

Anyways, commercials for Stella have always been created with a vintage look attached to them and I think that's one of the reasons why I like them so much.  Enough about that though, check out the spot and let me know what you thought.

~Until Next Time~

  1. Ah, moi, je l'aime. It's sexy and fun and flirty without being common. Like the French. The narrative is interesting -- the choices for the guys' expertises are good, funny ones -- and it plays off all the familiar French cliches: the snooty accent of the narrator, the extra-special gloriousness of the woman's beauty, the seeming mundanity of the boys' lives, the fact that they are waiters, the restuarant setting, the music, etc.. Sure, it skates close to being a stereotype, but there'ss a rhythm and a humor to the whole thing that is charming. (I like the omnipresent watchful eye of the father -- that's a nice touch.)

    Which would YOU choose.
