Kodak Ads Get More Aggressive

Eastman Kodak is stepping up the aggressiveness of its marketing as it tries to jump-start its ink-jet-printer business and revive its beleaguered brand.

Beginning this week, the 103-year-old company is rolling out a new ad campaign for the business that taps into consumers' frustration with the high price of printer ink. Its slogan: "Print and Prosper."

Refuelling TV Ad

The scenes that were so eloquently captured in this timeless and powerful advert truly represent a partnership which has, for over 60 years, been at the forefront of innovation and aspiration. Without the benefit of CGI, the footage is as pure and refined as the products Shell supplies, through its technical partnership, to Scuderia Ferrari and the Ferrari GT department.
Watch the video to fully appreciate this daring display - and experience at first-hand the thrill and adrenaline of being a Formula One driver, as above you the refuelling pipe leaves the aircraft destined for the F310B.

Old Navy

Just wanted to express my dislike for Old Navy's new ad campaign. I hope they come up with something new soon!

Top New Products of 2008: Gatorade G2 and Dunkin' Coffee

It was a good year for beverages, as the two most successful new brands in 2008 were Gatorade's G2 and Dunkin' Donuts coffee. The pair topped Information Resources Inc.'s annual Pacesetters list of most successful brands, surpassing the elusive $100 million benchmark for a hit new product.

Coca-Cola: Encounter

An uplifting first meeting occurs between a centenerian and a newborn. Here is the latest spot from Coca-Cola, and you are likely to see it on TV in the next few days. The "Coca-Cola Ecounter" is a heart felt spot that focuses on an older individual meeting a newborn for the first time. With today's tough times, the spot does a fantastic job of assuring you not to worry about these hard times but to focus your time on being happy, because at the end of the day you will only remember the good things in life. You have a lot to live for, so go ahead and spend that time embracing it. Enjoy.

Dreamworks: "Monsters vs Aliens"

Cheetos: "Gossip Girl"

Teleflora: "Rude Flowers"

H R Block: "Grim Reaper"

Bud Light: "Skier"

Etrade: "Babies"

Hyundai: "Genesis"

With auto sales glooming in today's economy, automakers have tried to revamp their marketing approach. Here is a spot from Hyundai that appeared in this year's Super Bowl. This spot really doesn't do much for me to be honest, I really don't like the constant Hyundai name being blurted out constantly, it gets really irritating...especially when the guy from BMW is shouting it out. Anyways...how do you pronounce the name correctly? Don't think I got it just yet... :)

Tropicana Cap!

Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

I was just at the grocery store and noticed this Tropicana cap! This was the first time I saw this and I really liked it! Despite finding the redesign very generic, I think they should incorporate this cap to the classic Tropicana design! I think that would have been a far better attempt at a re-design.

Cars com: "Doctor"

This spot is from cars.com, and it appeared in this years Super Bowl. Despite not realizing what exactly the commercial was about until the very end...which I hate, I eventually thought that it was well done. I like the idea that they followed this kid from when he was born to where he was now. It was clever how they illustrated that no matter how successful he was, he was still like the rest of us and needed some help in buying a car. If anyone else has any thoughts about this, feel free to comment, but this was my take on it.

Gatorade: "Mission G"

Paramount: "Star Trek"

Budweiser: "Horse Love"

A classic Budweiser commercial featuring the horse which they seem to use in most of their commercials. This particular commercial appeared in this years Super Bowl. I personally didn't find this commercial very entertaining, but it seemed to follow the same kind of tune Budweiser tends to air.
