Bold Move for Pepsi

Pepsi has taken an interesting direction in its marketing strategy by dropping its entire SuperBowl budget. This is huge for a company that has invested millions of dollars in the past years to produce some of the most memorable ads. Now Pepsi is refocusing $20 million of its ad dollars towards cause-related marketing initiatives.

Surely a bold move but one that demonstrates a new path for giant multinational companies such as Pepsi. I believe it will prove to be highly successful for the brand because it will put large sums of money working toward good causes.

Hopefully we'll start seeing the benefits of this strategy soon so that other brands will emulate this initiative. For now, take a look at Pepsi's site for more details.

  1. That's an interesting move on Pepsi's part seeing that they have focused so much of their money on producing great Ads during the previous few Super Bowl's. I would like to see if this gamble pays off, but then again it's good to see Pepsi moving towards cause related marketing campaigns.
